Desuperheating & Pressure Reducing Skid
Core function: Convert high-pressure & high-temperature main steam into qualified low-pressure steam with process-compliant temperature for downstream equipment. Steam coming from upstream pipeline has high pressure and temperature, while downstream equipment only requires low-pressure & medium-temperature steam and cannot utilize the raw steam directly.
Main components: Desuperheating-pressure reducing valve assembly, water-spray desuperheating device, filter, safety valve, temperature / pressure sensors, automatic control system, steam trap unit, base frame.
Two-step working principle:
- Pressure reduction: Steam pressure is throttled down to process target pressure via pressure reducing valve.
- Desuperheating: Atomized clean water is injected; water mist evaporates and absorbs heat to cool superheated steam down to target temperature.
Closed-loop automatic control of the skid: Steady output of steam at preset pressure and preset temperature. Safety valves are fitted for automatic over-pressure relief to guarantee operational safety.
Typical applications: Utilization of by-product high-pressure steam from power plants for industrial parks; high-pressure steam generated by boilers, where downstream equipment only needs low-pressure process steam of 0.3-1.6 MPa.
