Condensate Recovery Skid
Core function: Recover high-temperature condensate generated after steam usage and feed it back to the boiler for reuse, so as to save water and coal / gas.
After steam releases heat during heat exchange, it turns into high-temperature hot water known as condensate, normally at 80-130 °C with substantial heat content. Direct discharge by many factories leads to severe energy waste.
Main components: Condensate recovery tank, recovery pump, steam trap assembly, steam-water separator, liquid-level control unit, filter, check valve, automatic control system.
Working principle: Condensate from various equipment flows and collects into the skid. Steam-water separation is carried out inside the skid to remove flash steam. High-temperature condensate is automatically pumped back to boiler feed-water or deaerator system according to liquid level.
Benefits: - Recycle high-temperature water and reduce cold make-up water for boiler; - Retain heat in condensate and greatly cut boiler fuel consumption; - Reduce wastewater discharge.
Key challenge: Condensate tends to carry flash steam which may cause pump cavitation. The skid is specially designed for degassing and anti-cavitation protection. Typical applications: Steam-intensive factories, pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries.
